What We Do

Three areas of specialisation, one shared commitment to craftsmanship.

Architectural Joinery

Sash windows, internal doors, staircases and panelling. We work closely with conservation officers on listed buildings.

Traditional Technique, Modern Standards

We use time-tested joinery methods — mortise and tenon, dovetails, tongue and groove — because they produce stronger, quieter, longer-lasting results than modern shortcuts.

That does not mean we ignore modern tools. CNC routing for complex curves, dust extraction for a healthier workshop and moisture meters for precise timber selection all play a part in how we work.

About Our Workshop

From Our Timber Guide

Understanding the character of different woods helps you make better choices for your project.

Choosing the Right Timber

Oak, ash, walnut, cherry — every species has its own personality. Grain pattern, hardness, colour shift over time and workability all differ. We help clients select the right wood for their project's function and aesthetic.

Our timber guide covers the most popular species we work with, along with honest advice on cost, maintenance and best use cases.
